Al Attiyah continues to hold the top position at Rallye du Maroc

Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah continues to dominate the Rallye du Maroc, maintaining his overall lead in the competition despite finishing fourth in Stage 3. Al Attiyah’s teammate Sebastien Loeb claimed victory in the 325-kilometre stage, with Guillaume de Mevius coming in second. Former world champion Carlos Sainz secured the third-best time in an Experimental Class Ford Raptor. This stage win moved Loeb onto the overall podium, with Al Attiyah leading the pack by 10:31. De Mevius closed the gap significantly, reducing his deficit from 8:22 to just 4:45. Yazeed Al Rajhi, Al Attiyah’s main rival, dropped to fifth overall, trailing the Qatari driver by 25 minutes.

In the Challenger category, Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and his co-driver Nasser Saadoon Al Kuwari finished 19th, while Khalifa Al Attiyah and navigator Enio Bozzano came in 38th. Ahmed Al Kuwari landed in the 34th spot. The Rallye du Maroc marks the final leg of the 2024 FIA World Rally-Raid Championship, with Nasser Al Attiyah closing in on his eighth title. The competition is heating up as Loeb and De Mevius continue to challenge Al Attiyah for the top spot.
