FIFA and Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy are thrilled to announce the launch of their new TV series “WE WERE THERE,” which delves deep into the human stories behind the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Narrated by Daisy Ridley, the 8-part series explores the personal journeys of key players, coaches, and fans during the tournament.

Each episode of the series is a 30-minute mini documentary that uncovers the unique backstory of the protagonists and their unforgettable experiences at the FIFA World Cup. Viewers will get an insider’s look at never-before-seen footage from the tournament, including emotional moments captured in the stadiums and behind-the-scenes access in the dressing rooms.

The series features exclusive interviews with football stars such as Lionel Scaloni, Emiliano Martínez, Bruno Fernandes, and Kylian Mbappé, providing fans with a fresh perspective on their favorite players. Additionally, the show follows the stories of passionate fans, showcasing the global excitement and dedication surrounding the world’s most prestigious sporting event.

Directed by Luke Mellows and produced by Noah Media Group, “WE WERE THERE” promises to bring back the magic of the FIFA World Cup 2022 for both avid football enthusiasts and casual viewers. With Catherine Quantschnigg leading the global sales, the series is set to captivate audiences worldwide.

Fatma Al Nuaimi of the SC expressed her excitement for viewers to relive the unforgettable moments of the tournament through the eyes of players and fans. The series aims to evoke nostalgia and celebrate the unforgettable experiences shared by billions of football fans during the historic event.

HBS CEO Dan Miodownik commended the opportunity to showcase the personal stories of the Qatari people and international visitors, adding a unique touch to the post-tournament narrative. With Noah Media Group at the helm, “WE WERE THERE” promises to be a riveting exploration of the human side of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
