The State of Qatar and the Republic of Armenia have recently come to an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the labour sector and regulate the recruitment of skilled workers from Armenia. The agreement was signed by Minister of Labour HE Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri on behalf of Qatar, and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Armenia HE Narek Mkrtchyan on behalf of Armenia. The primary objective of this agreement is to support the Ministry of Labour’s efforts to attract skilled and qualified workers, increase their presence in the local market, boost productivity in the private sector, and enhance the overall work environment.

As per the terms of the agreement, both parties will work together to make the process of recruiting skilled workers from Armenia to Qatar more streamlined. This will involve providing the local market in Qatar with the necessary skills to fill job opportunities. The ultimate goal is to improve the recruitment process, protect the rights of both employers and workers, and enhance the recruitment of skilled labour through collaboration with accredited offices. This agreement falls in line with Qatar’s wider international cooperation strategy to upgrade labour recruitment practices.

The agreement is an important step towards strengthening the ties between Qatar and Armenia in the field of labour cooperation. It reflects a commitment from both sides to work together towards mutual benefit. By facilitating the recruitment of skilled workers from Armenia to Qatar, the agreement will contribute to the growth and development of both countries. It will also help in addressing the evolving needs of the labour market in Qatar by ensuring that skilled workers are able to find suitable job opportunities in the country.

With the signing of this agreement, the Ministry of Labour in Qatar is poised to attract more skilled workers from Armenia, who will bring their expertise and knowledge to support the private sector in the country. This will not only enhance the productivity of the sector but also create a more diverse and skilled workforce. By providing the necessary skills to fill job opportunities in Qatar, the agreement will help in addressing any skill shortages and ensure that employers have access to the talent they need to grow and succeed.

Overall, the agreement between Qatar and Armenia in the labour sector marks an important milestone in their bilateral relations. It demonstrates a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation and promoting the mutual interests of both countries. By working together to improve the recruitment of skilled workers, Qatar and Armenia are laying the groundwork for a stronger and more prosperous future. As the two countries continue to collaborate in this area, they are sure to reap the benefits of a skilled and productive workforce that will drive growth and innovation in their respective economies.
