Defense Minister awards military ranks to newly appointed senior ministry officials

Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman recently decorated newly appointed and promoted senior officials of the ministry with their new military ranks during a reception in Riyadh. This gesture followed the royal orders issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, which included promotions and appointments of these officials to their new military positions. Among those honored were Commander of the Joint Forces Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Salman, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Ghufaili, Advisor to the Office of the Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Mutair, Chief of Staff of the Land Forces Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Johni, and Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Gharibi.

During the ceremony, Prince Khalid extended his wishes for success to the newly appointed officials in serving their religion and country. The commanders, in turn, expressed their gratitude towards Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the trust placed in them. Additionally, they thanked Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman for his support and guidance, seeking divine assistance in fulfilling the leadership’s expectations. The event was also attended by Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili, Advisor to the Royal Court Lt. Gen. Mutlaq Al-Azima, Assistant Minister of Defense Eng. Talal Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Bayari, Advisor to the Ministry of Defense Dr. Samir Al-Tabib, and Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.

The decorations and promotions signify the continued support and recognition of the armed forces by the Kingdom’s leadership.
