There is a chance of rainfall in some parts of the UAE on Sunday, September 1, as predicted by The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The eastern and southern regions are expected to experience rainfall due to the appearance of clouds. This is attributed to the movement of clouds from the Arabian Sea, caused by a tropical storm. The storm is expected to gradually weaken and be downgraded into a tropical depression on Sunday afternoon.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp Channels. In addition to the possibility of rainfall, the weather department has issued a yellow alert for dust due to fresh winds. This alert warns residents of reduced horizontal visibility to less than 3000 meters over some internal areas from 9am to 9pm. Furthermore, a yellow alert has been issued for rough sea conditions with fresh winds reaching up to 40kmph, causing the Arabian Gulf to be rough with wave heights up to six feet from 10am to 10pm.

Earlier in the day, a yellow alert was issued due to fresh winds and rough sea conditions, lasting until 1pm. Although rainfall is expected in some areas, the overall weather is predicted to be partly cloudy. Despite the rain showers, humidity is expected during the night and Monday morning, especially in the western areas. Light to moderate winds are expected during the daytime, causing dust.

The sea is expected to be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. Due to the tropical storm, sea levels may rise along some eastern coast beaches during high tide on Sunday and Monday. Residents are strongly advised to avoid going to the sea and participating in maritime activities such as swimming and diving due to the rough sea conditions. The NCM urges the public to rely on official reports from the weather department and avoid spreading rumors for safety purposes.
