The Qatar National Library (QNL) has launched its 2024 September membership campaign, themed “QNL4ALL”, to promote free access to knowledge and resources for the community. New subscribers have the chance to enter a prize draw by signing up to become a member and borrowing at least five books, physical or digital, through the QNL mobile app. Two lucky winners will be chosen at random and announced on November 17, 2024. Membership is free and grants access to the library’s collections and services.

To further incentivize book reading, the library will reward its top 15 book borrowers of the 2023-2024 year with special library gifts, divided among children, young adults, and adults. Fatma Al Sahli, Access Officer at Qatar National Library, emphasized that “QNL4ALL” is not just a slogan, but a promise to provide access to knowledge, learning, and culture for all members of the community. The library continues to leverage advanced technology to enhance the member experience and connect them with a global repository of knowledge.

Joining Qatar National Library offers more than access to a vast collection of physical books in 16 languages. It also provides access to digital archives, Innovation Stations such as music studios and green rooms, study and media rooms, and a children’s library with interactive learning activities. The library is inclusive and caters to individuals with special needs through an Assistive Technology Centre for people with disabilities and a sensory room to develop sensory skills in children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

The Qatar National Library’s September membership campaign aims to attract new members by offering free access to knowledge and resources through a prize draw. Members who sign up in September, download the QNL mobile app, and borrow at least five books, physical or digital, will be entered into the draw to win special prizes. This initiative reflects the library’s commitment to serving the community and meeting the diverse needs of its members.

In addition to the prize draw, the library will recognize its top 15 book borrowers of the year with special gifts. These gifts will be divided among children, young adults, and adults, encouraging avid book readers to continue utilizing the library’s resources. The Access Officer at Qatar National Library highlighted that the “QNL4ALL” campaign signifies the library’s dedication to breaking down barriers to knowledge and ensuring that resources and services reach every member of the community. The library is determined to provide a vibrant and inclusive space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
