Oman Air has recently taken several strategic steps to boost connectivity to Salalah during the Khareef season. The airline is deploying maximum capacity with up to 11 flights per day during peak times and has upgraded a number of flights to wide-body aircraft, resulting in an addition of almost 4,500 seats over the season. In July alone, Oman Air flew nearly 50,000 guests into the city, with over 70% of them using fixed national fare tickets.

Mike Rutter, Oman Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of Salalah as a tourist destination, especially during the khareef season. He stated that the airline is committed to promoting and supporting Salalah in alignment with national objectives. To ensure that travel between Muscat and Salalah remains affordable and accessible for Omani citizens, Oman Air is offering consistent and transparent pricing with year-round fixed fares. This initiative aims to enable more people to reconnect with loved ones or explore the beauty of the country without the burden of fluctuating fares.

During the khareef season, Omani national fares are priced at RO 54 return, while the fare for the rest of the year is RO 64. These fixed national fares can be availed exclusively through Oman Air’s website and mobile app. While there is no limit on the allocation of Omani national fares, seats are selling quickly, prompting guests to book in advance to secure their seats. In addition to affordable fares for Omani citizens, the airline also offers competitive prices for non-Omanis looking to visit Salalah.

Oman Air’s commitment to boosting connectivity to Salalah benefits both tourists and locals. By deploying maximum capacity and offering fixed national fares, the airline ensures that travel to Salalah is convenient and affordable for all. The upgrades to wide-body aircraft and increased flight frequencies further enhance the travel experience, making it easier for guests to visit and explore the beauty of Salalah during the khareef season.

The airline’s efforts to promote Salalah as a key tourist destination are in line with national objectives and support the growth of the tourism sector in Oman. By providing transparent pricing and consistent fares, Oman Air aims to make travel between Muscat and Salalah more accessible for Omani citizens throughout the year. The fixed national fares offer an attractive option for those looking to experience the magic of Salalah during the khareef season without worrying about fluctuating ticket prices.

Overall, Oman Air’s strategic measures to boost connectivity to Salalah during the Khareef season demonstrate the airline’s commitment to supporting national interests and promoting tourism in Oman. With increased flight frequencies, upgraded aircraft, and fixed national fares, Oman Air is paving the way for more travelers to experience the wonders of Salalah and enjoy a seamless travel experience between Muscat and the khareef jewel of Oman.
