Educators are urging parents to prioritize their children’s safety and avoid using illegal transportation services, following a recent incident where a 7-year-old student lost his life in a vehicle rollover. Schools emphasize the importance of using authorized transportation like school buses, which are equipped with safety measures and monitored by trained personnel.

Dr. Arogya Reddy, Principal of Ambassador School Sharjah, highlighted the benefits of school buses, including the presence of well-trained staff, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with regulations. School heads emphasize that a school bus offers a highly safe and secure mode of transportation, with strict monitoring systems in place. Private drivers may lack proper training and tend to overcrowd vehicles, posing potential risks to children.

While some parents may find the cost of school transportation to be slightly higher, educators stress the importance of prioritizing children’s safety over saving money. Savings from using unauthorized transportation services are minimal, and parents should consider the overall safety and security offered by school buses. Making school transportation more affordable is crucial to ensure that all students have access to safe and reliable transport.

Some parents, like John Carvalho, have opted for private transportation services due to high costs and long travel times associated with school buses. However, others, like Arijit Nandi, prioritize safety and are willing to pay for the school bus service to ensure their children’s well-being. School leaders are working to make school buses a preferred option for more families and reduce the use of unregulated transportation services.

In conclusion, parents are encouraged to prioritize their children’s safety over saving money by using authorized school transportation services. While some may opt for private services due to cost or convenience, the safety and security offered by school buses are unmatched. Educators emphasize the importance of making school transportation more affordable to ensure that all students have access to safe and reliable transport. By prioritizing safety, parents can ensure the well-being of their children during their daily commute to and from school.
