Watch: UAE President arrives in Serbia for official visit, talks about strategic partnership

The recent meeting between UAE President Sheikh Mohamed and Serbia President Aleksandar Vucic highlighted their countries’ strong strategic partnership and their shared commitment to expand cooperation for mutual benefits. The discussions covered various regional and international issues of interest to both nations, emphasizing the importance of finding peaceful solutions to global crises.

The meeting, held in Belgrade during Sheikh Mohamed’s working visit to Serbia, was a significant milestone in advancing the partnership between the two countries. President Vucic welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and his delegation, expressing his appreciation for the UAE President’s visit and the opportunities it brings for further development and prosperity in both nations.

During their discussions, Sheikh Mohamed and President Vucic focused on the progress of their strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of investment, economy, trade, technology, food security, and renewable energy. They also addressed opportunities for collaboration in various sectors to enhance bilateral relations and strengthen ties between the UAE and Serbia.

The two leaders also emphasized the importance of finding peaceful solutions to regional and international crises that are hindering development and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s strong support for peace and stability in the Balkans and its commitment to strengthening relations with Serbia and other countries in the region.

Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the UAE’s belief in the strong link between development, peace, and stability, emphasizing the importance of global cooperation. He noted that economic, investment, and trade collaboration are essential for ensuring a better future for all and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.

The UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement was seen as a significant step in enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, both at the governmental level and among the private sector. The agreement is expected to boost trade and investment, reflecting the shared understanding of the vast opportunities available for the peoples of both nations.

The meeting was attended by high-level officials from the UAE and Serbia, including Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber. The participation of key figures from both countries underscores the importance and commitment to further strengthening the partnership between the UAE and Serbia across various sectors.
