UAE President and Congo Head of State Discuss Ways to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed recently met with Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, during his working visit to the UAE. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and collaboration in various fields to promote development and prosperity in both countries. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Mohamed welcomed President Tshisekedi and expressed his hopes for strengthened relations between the two nations, as well as continued peace, prosperity, and growth for the DRC and its people.

The two leaders explored opportunities to expand cooperation in sectors such as development, the economy, trade and investment, renewable energy, and other vital areas that support sustainable development. Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with African countries to advance mutual interests, promote development, stability, and prosperity across the continent for the benefit of all.

President Félix Tshisekedi expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE’s cooperation with the DRC and its humanitarian and developmental initiatives in Africa, as well as its efforts to assist communities affected by crises worldwide. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between the two countries and exploring avenues for collaboration in different sectors to benefit their respective populations.
