The recent meeting of the Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighted the hope for establishing an independent Palestinian State. The Cabinet expressed support for the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution and emphasized the importance of setting a timeline for ending the Israeli occupation and achieving lasting peace in the region. The Kingdom also reiterated its rejection of escalation in the Middle East and emphasized the serious threat posed by Israeli aggression on Gaza. The Cabinet called for an immediate ceasefire and access to humanitarian aid to support affected communities.

Furthermore, the Cabinet emphasized the necessity of collective assistance for Lebanon in confronting its current crisis and supporting the institutions of the Lebanese state. The Kingdom appreciated the pledges of donor countries to provide financial and in-kind contributions to support displaced people and refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad region. The hosting of such conferences reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to addressing humanitarian issues and providing assistance to affected communities around the world.

The Cabinet also discussed the outcomes of the Kingdom’s recent participation in international meetings, highlighting efforts to strengthen partnerships with various countries and expand cooperation in all fields. The Council welcomed the participants of the Future Investment Initiative conference, aimed at enhancing economic stability, fair development, and combating climate change globally. Agreements and memoranda signed at the Energy Localization Forum and Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum aim to enhance localization efforts in the energy sector, develop human capital, and encourage entrepreneurship.

During the Global Health Exhibition, agreements worth more than SR55 billion were signed to invest in global technologies, localize pharmaceutical industries, and support research and development fields. The Cabinet also praised the inaugural Global Corporate Social Responsibility Forum for facilitating discussions on sustainable social development. Additionally, amendments were made to the Judicial Law, with the Supreme Judicial Council now consisting of a president and 14 members. The Cabinet approved organizational procedures for the Supreme National Committee for Industry and authorized negotiations for memoranda of understanding and cooperation in the small and medium enterprises sector with Bahrain, Qatar, and Estonia.

In conclusion, the recent Saudi Cabinet meeting underscored the Kingdom’s commitment to regional peace, stability, and humanitarian assistance. The emphasis on supporting Palestine, Lebanon, and displaced communities in the Sahel and Lake Chad region reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to addressing global challenges and promoting cooperation among nations. The agreements and initiatives launched during recent conferences highlight the Kingdom’s leadership in various sectors, including energy, health, and social development. Through partnerships and collaborations with other countries, Saudi Arabia aims to achieve sustainable development, prosperity, and growth on a global scale.
