The Tourism Hub Centre at the Muttrah Waterfront in Muscat Governorate is a key resource for visitors looking to explore the heritage sites and tourist destinations in Oman. Since its opening in January 2024, the centre has welcomed over 6,000 visitors and fielded numerous inquiries about popular sites, accommodation options, transportation, and dining recommendations. Headed by Hana bint Salem Al Bahrani, the centre offers a wealth of tourism materials, including brochures, guide cards, and maps, as well as information on museums, tourism companies, and hotels. The centre also plays a role in promoting various events and activities taking place throughout Oman, collecting feedback from visitors to continually enhance the services they offer.

In an effort to further enhance visitor experience, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is in the process of introducing electronic forms for tourists to submit questions related to tourism, measure their satisfaction with the services provided, and track visitor demographics. Additionally, plans are underway to establish tourist hub centres in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate to expand the reach of tourism services in Oman. These centres will focus on implementing sustainable practices in the tourism sector, ensuring a responsible and environmentally conscious approach to tourism development.

The Tourism Hub Centre is a one-stop destination for travelers seeking information on the best places to visit, stay, and explore in Oman. From heritage sites to entertainment activities, the centre offers comprehensive guidance and assistance to help visitors make the most of their time in the Sultanate. Whether it’s booking a tour, navigating transportation options, or discovering the local cuisine, the centre is equipped to provide visitors with the necessary information and recommendations to enhance their experience.

With a focus on customer satisfaction, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is committed to continuously improving the services offered at the Tourism Hub Centre and beyond. By collecting feedback from visitors and monitoring trends in tourism, the ministry aims to adapt and innovate to meet the evolving needs of travelers. By leveraging technology such as electronic forms and digital tools, the ministry is modernizing the way it interacts with visitors and streamlining the information-gathering process to better serve tourists and enhance the overall visitor experience.

As the tourism sector in Oman continues to grow, the establishment of tourist hub centres in key locations such as the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate will further bolster the country’s appeal as a tourist destination. By focusing on sustainable practices and responsible tourism development, these centres will play a critical role in promoting Oman’s natural and cultural heritage while ensuring the preservation of its environment. The commitment to excellence in service and the dedication to enhancing visitor experiences underscore Oman’s position as a leading tourism hub in the region, welcoming travelers from around the world to explore its rich history and scenic beauty.
