The Ministry of Interior signs two agreements with Kazakhstan and Germany on security cooperation

In a recent development at Milipol Qatar 2024, a security cooperation agreement in crime prevention was signed between the Interior Ministries of Qatar and Kazakhstan. The signing ceremony was witnessed by HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force of Qatar. The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by Minister of State for Interior Affairs HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, and on the Kazakh side by Minister of Internal Affairs HE Yerzhan Sadenov.

Additionally, during the event, a Letter of Intent for security cooperation in training and knowledge exchange was also signed between the Ministry of Interior of Qatar and the Ministry of Interior and Community of the Federal Republic of Germany. This letter was signed on behalf of Qatar by Minister of State for Interior Affairs HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, and on behalf of Germany by State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Interior and Community HE Bernd Krossser. These agreements highlight the commitment of both countries to enhance collaboration in the areas of security and crime prevention.

The signing of these agreements further strengthens the ties between Qatar, Kazakhstan, and Germany in the realm of security cooperation. It signifies a mutual understanding of the importance of working together to address common security challenges and prevent crime. By engaging in training programs and knowledge exchange initiatives, both Qatar and Germany aim to enhance their capabilities in handling various security threats effectively.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Interior of Qatar and the Ministry of Interior and Community of Germany will facilitate the exchange of best practices, expertise, and training opportunities. This partnership aims to improve the skills and capabilities of security personnel in both countries, ultimately enhancing their ability to address evolving security threats. By leveraging each other’s strengths and resources, Qatar and Germany can work towards creating a safer and more secure environment for their citizens.
