Students participate in the ‘Visit Embassy’ program

The Embassy of India in Bahrain has recently launched the “Visit Embassy” program, with the goal of familiarizing students studying in the Kingdom with the workings of the Indian Embassy. The initiative, led by Ambassador H.E. Mr. Vinod K. Jacob, saw a total of 160 students from nine educational institutes in Bahrain participate in two phases in 2023 and 2024. During their visit, the students had the chance to interact with officials of the Embassy, who provided insights into the various roles and sections of the Embassy.

In addition to learning about the Embassy’s functions, the students were also briefed on various initiatives and exhibitions housed at the Embassy. They gained insights into the historical and cultural significance of the Embassy building, its architectural features, and the art displayed within. Ambassador Jacob himself engaged with the students, allowing them to pose questions and understand the complexities of diplomacy. The students also learned about the Embassy’s crucial role in promoting and strengthening India-Bahrain relations.

The “Visit Embassy” program provided an invaluable opportunity for students to get a firsthand look at the inner workings of a diplomatic mission and understand the important role Embassies play in fostering international relations. By interacting with Embassy officials and gaining insights into various initiatives and exhibitions, the students were able to deepen their understanding of diplomacy and its impact on bilateral relations between countries.
