Dubai Mall has announced that it will implement a new paid parking system in collaboration with Salik Company starting July 1st. The paid parking will apply to Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, and Fashion Parking, while Zabeel and Fountain Views parking locations will remain free of charge. Motorists will have free parking for the first four hours on weekdays, with charges ranging from Dh20 to Dh1,000 thereafter. On weekends, the first six hours will be free, with hourly charges after that.

The decision to introduce paid parking at Dubai Mall was made in December 2023 to improve parking availability and ensure a more convenient visit for all visitors. The collaboration with Salik aims to provide a seamless and efficient parking management system at the mall. The implementation of paid parking is intended to free up spaces and make it easier for guests to find parking quickly. The goal is to offer a hassle-free experience for visitors from the moment they arrive at the mall.

The automatic fee collection for ticketless parking will be based on vehicle plate recognition. The barrier-free parking system will utilize automatic number plate recognition and RFID technology for tracking tags by Salik. Cameras will capture plate numbers upon entry and exit to calculate parking time. The partnership between Salik and Emaar Malls highlights their commitment to leveraging innovative technologies to enhance the guest experience and set new benchmarks in retail and leisure.

Ahmed Almatrooshi of Emaar Properties emphasized the importance of enhancing the guest experience through innovative technologies and collaborations with Salik. Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik Company, expressed excitement about the partnership with Emaar as they strive to become global leaders in sustainable and smart mobility solutions. The introduction of paid parking at Dubai Mall marks the beginning of a strategic evolution to provide innovative and convenient solutions that eliminate the need for gates or barriers.
