Sharjah’s Ruler recently approved financial support of about Dh50 million for those impacted by rain and floods who did not initially meet the criteria to qualify for assistance. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, sanctioned the monetary aid for 1,806 cases affected by the low pressure system that damaged citizens’ homes in Sharjah. This includes providing a lump sum assistance of Dh25,000 to 1,568 homeowners who experienced leaks or external damage, as well as increasing the minimum support to Dh50,000 for 117 cases.

Moreover, the support also covers 83 cases of individuals registered in emirates other than Sharjah and 38 cases of new homeowners who purchased homes during the current year. Additionally, it encompasses assistance for homeowners who were not present in their homes during the inclement weather, resulting in damage to their equipment and furniture due to heavy rains. This initiative aims to aid families in rebuilding, maintaining, and furnishing their homes, with the Social Services Department tasked with reassessing and sorting out previously declined cases while implementing exceptions directed by the Ruler of Sharjah.

As part of the relief efforts, residents are encouraged to take preventive measures through regular maintenance to prevent and minimize the impact of rain on their homes. This proactive approach can help mitigate potential damage and protect properties from the effects of inclement weather. By staying informed and prepared, residents can ensure the safety and protection of their homes and belongings during times of adverse weather conditions.

In light of the recent floods and rain in Sharjah, the approval of financial support by the Ruler signifies a commitment to supporting affected individuals and families during challenging times. The allocated funds will assist those who may have previously fallen short of the requirements for aid, providing them with much-needed financial assistance to repair and restore their homes. This proactive measure demonstrates the leadership’s dedication to the welfare of its residents and their well-being.

The initiative to provide financial support to those affected by rain and floods in Sharjah highlights the importance of addressing the immediate needs of the community during emergencies. By extending a helping hand to those impacted by natural disasters, the government demonstrates its commitment to assisting vulnerable individuals and families in times of crisis. The approval of financial aid underscores the Ruler’s compassion and empathy towards those facing difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances.

In conclusion, the approval of financial support for individuals affected by rain and floods in Sharjah reflects a proactive response to assist those in need during challenging times. By providing financial assistance to homeowners and individuals impacted by the recent weather conditions, the government aims to alleviate the burden on affected families and support them in rebuilding and repairing their homes. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to the well-being of its citizens and the importance of providing support during times of crisis. Residents are encouraged to take preventive measures to protect their homes and belongings from the impact of rain and floods, ensuring their safety and security during adverse weather conditions.
