During a session on Palestine at the UN Security Council, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah emphasized the importance of recognizing the State of Palestine to support the two-state solution and promote sustainable peace. He urged member states that have not yet recognized Palestine to take this critical step in order to preserve the chances for coexistence and stability in the region. Prince Faisal emphasized that ending the occupation and implementing the two-state solution are essential in stopping the cycle of violence and reducing suffering in the region.

Saudi Arabia believes that launching a serious partnership for peace is necessary at this crucial juncture in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Foreign Minister highlighted the urgent need for the international community to prioritize the Palestinian issue and take concrete steps to address the ongoing violations and deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the region. He warned of the severe consequences of prolonging the crisis and escalating the conflict through continued military aggression.

Recognizing the State of Palestine is a key step in advancing the two-state solution, which is widely seen as the most viable path towards achieving a lasting peace in the region. By supporting the Palestinian cause and pressuring Israel to end its occupation, the international community can contribute to building a more stable and secure future for both Israelis and Palestinians. Prince Faisal stressed the importance of unity and cooperation among Security Council member states in addressing the root causes of the conflict and working towards a just and peaceful resolution.

Saudi Arabia’s call for international recognition of Palestine and support for the two-state solution comes at a crucial time when the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues to escalate. The Kingdom is committed to upholding the rights of the Palestinian people and advocating for a peaceful resolution to the long-standing conflict. By urging member states to take action and support the Palestinian cause, Saudi Arabia is demonstrating its commitment to promoting peace, stability, and coexistence in the region.

In his address to the Security Council, Prince Faisal highlighted the urgent need for a renewed focus on the Palestinian issue and called for concrete steps to address the ongoing violations and deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the region. By prioritizing the plight of the Palestinian people and working towards a just and lasting solution, the international community can help alleviate suffering and bring about a more secure and stable future for all parties involved. Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict reflects its commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region through diplomatic means and international cooperation.
