RNO conducts naval exercise ‘Sea Lion’ in February 2024

The naval drill “Asad Al Bahar” or “Sea Lion” 2/2024, carried out by the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) in the Sea of Oman, commenced today. This exercise, supported by the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) jets and the Royal Oman Police Coast Guard, will continue until 26 September. The primary objective of this naval drill is to enhance the readiness of the RNO fleet and personnel, aligning with the national responsibilities assigned to them. This training is a crucial aspect of the RNO’s overall training plans, ensuring that they are prepared to handle any potential maritime threats that may arise.
