Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations meets with a UN official

The Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, recently met with Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Acting Head of UNSMIL, Stephanie Khoury, in New York. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the latest developments in Libya and to explore ways to support the UN Support Mission in Libya in its efforts to establish lasting peace and stability in the country.

During the meeting, Sheikha Alya and Stephanie Khoury exchanged views on the current situation in Libya and the challenges facing the country. They also discussed the importance of international cooperation and support for UNSMIL’s work in Libya.
