Qatari Urdu Society launches poetry book at exclusive event

Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar, an organization dedicated to promoting Urdu literature, held a special event at Khayal Khaima in Doha, Qatar. The event, which took place recently, featured the launch of a poetry book by visiting poet Syed Khalid Mohsin from Malaysia. The evening also included a poetry symposium that highlighted the beauty and richness of Urdu poetry. Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar, which was established in 1959, has been actively involved in organizing events and activities that celebrate Urdu literature.

The event at Khayal Khaima was presided over by Dr Faisal Hanif, the chairman of Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar and a well-known writer and literary connoisseur. Syed Khalid Mohsin, the visiting poet and development worker currently based in Nepal, was the guest of honor at the event. Waseem Ahmed, a member of Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar, and Adeel Akbar, the general secretary of Pakistan Arts Society, also attended the event as chief guests. The proceedings were led by Mohammed Rafique Shad Akolvi, the president of Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar, who also served as the host for the evening.

Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar has been committed to fostering Urdu literature and providing a platform for poets and writers to showcase their work. The organization has a long history of promoting Urdu poetry and organizing events that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Urdu language. Through its activities, Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar aims to preserve and promote Urdu literature and poetry among the community in Qatar.

The poetry book launch and symposium at Khayal Khaima highlighted the talent and creativity of Syed Khalid Mohsin, who shared his poetry with the audience. The event provided a platform for poets and poetry enthusiasts to come together and appreciate the beauty of Urdu poetry. It also served as an opportunity for the community to engage with Urdu literature and learn more about the cultural significance of Urdu language.

Dr Faisal Hanif, the chairman of Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar, expressed his appreciation for the contributions of Syed Khalid Mohsin and emphasized the importance of promoting Urdu literature in Qatar. He highlighted the role of organizations like Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Urdu language. The event was attended by a diverse audience, including members of Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar, Pakistan Arts Society, and poetry lovers from the community.
