MP Jalal Kazem has introduced a draft law aiming to amend certain provisions of the Labour Law in Bahrain. This proposed legislation would require all public and private companies to submit their job vacancies to the Ministry of Labour. The goal is to streamline the recruitment process and promote equality in job opportunities.

One of the key aspects of the proposed law is the enforcement of financial penalties for non-compliance. Employers or their representatives who fail to submit job vacancies could face fines ranging from 200 to 500 Bahraini dinars. This measure is intended to ensure transparency in the job market and encourage employers to adhere to the new requirements.

MP Kazem has stressed the importance of promoting fairness and equality in the hiring process. By publicizing job vacancies through the Ministry of Labour’s electronic employment exhibition, job seekers will have better access to opportunities that match their qualifications and skills. This centralized database will help organize the labor market and guide individuals towards suitable positions.

In light of the increasing unemployment rates in Bahrain, MP Kazem has highlighted the government’s responsibility to address this issue. By providing mechanisms to reduce unemployment and create a more inviting work environment in the private sector, the proposed law aims to benefit citizens seeking employment. It is seen as a step towards enhancing job opportunities for Bahraini nationals.

The proposed law is expected to make it easier for citizens to find suitable job vacancies and apply for positions that align with their skills and qualifications. Through the Ministry of Labour’s electronic employment exhibition, job seekers will have access to a wide range of options, helping them navigate the job market more efficiently. This initiative is aimed at streamlining the recruitment process and ensuring equal access to job opportunities.

Overall, MP Jalal Kazem’s draft law to amend certain provisions of the Labour Law in Bahrain seeks to address the challenges of unemployment and promote equality in the job market. By requiring companies to submit their job vacancies to the Ministry of Labour and enforcing penalties for non-compliance, the proposed legislation aims to create a fair and transparent hiring process. It is a step towards enhancing job opportunities for citizens and improving the overall employment landscape in Bahrain.
