Professor Timothy Insoll, Al-Qasimi Professor of African and Islamic Archaeology at the University of Exeter, has been recognized by His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom in the new year’s honours list. Professor Insoll has been awarded the honour of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to Archaeology in Bahrain and UK/Bahrain relations. For many years, Professor Insoll has been working in Bahrain to uncover and explain its rich history that dates back thousands of years.
