World Teachers’ Day 2024 was celebrated in Doha, Qatar, with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in attendance. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) organized the event with the theme “Teacher’s Day: Giving That Inspires Generations” at their permanent headquarters in Al Qutaifiya. During the celebration, HE Sheikh Mohammed honored 27 teachers, both male and female, for their dedication and commitment to educating generations over more than 20 years of service.

The event was a platform to recognize the efforts of teachers who have made a significant impact on the lives of students and communities through their work in the education sector. Senior education and academic figures, school principals, parents, students, and local media representatives also attended the celebration to show their appreciation for the contributions of these teachers. HE Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of teachers in shaping the future of society through their work in educating the youth.
