Oman and Somalia explore ways to improve cooperation in the livestock sector

The Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Somalia recently explored ways to enhance cooperation in the field of livestock. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Oman and the Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range in Somalia discussed exchanging expertise and information in food security and food safety. They also explored opportunities to increase investments and trade exchange between the two countries. During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed to improve cooperation in importing and exporting livestock.

Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, welcomed Hassan Hussein Mohamed, Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range of Somalia, to discuss mutual interests in the livestock industry.
