The Nomas Centre, under the Ministry of Culture, recently wrapped up a trip to Norway that focused on “Knowledge, Etiquette, and Majid’s Companionship”. The trip itinerary featured a variety of activities including heritage tours, historical site visits, recreational pursuits, and expeditionary excursions. Participants had the chance to explore several significant historical landmarks in Norway, such as technology museums, maritime museums, and the Viking Museum.

Ghanem Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, the Director of the Nomas Centre, expressed satisfaction with how the trip fulfilled its objectives. Students were able to absorb valuable knowledge and gain insights into different cultures through their visits to museums and historical sites in Norway. The agenda of the trip was carefully planned to include field trips, expeditions, and recreational activities that would provide a well-rounded educational experience for all participants.

The excursion commenced on August 23, 2024, with the aim of nurturing young talents, fostering intercultural communication, instilling principles of national identity, and encouraging students to engage in cultural explorations at significant landmarks across the globe. The trip was designed to broaden students’ horizons and cultivate an appreciation for diverse cultures and histories, while also promoting values of etiquette and camaraderie.

As part of the trip, participants had the opportunity to visit various historical landmarks and museums in Norway, allowing them to deepen their understanding of different aspects of history and heritage. The technology museum, maritime museum, and Viking Museum were just some of the notable sites that the students were able to explore, gaining valuable insights into Norwegian history and culture.

Through their participation in the trip, students were able to not only learn about different cultures and histories but also develop important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. The immersive nature of the trip provided a unique and enriching educational experience that will continue to benefit the participants in their personal and academic growth.

Overall, the trip to Norway organized by the Nomas Centre was a resounding success, achieving its goals of promoting cultural exchange, fostering a sense of national pride, and encouraging students to engage with the world around them. The trip provided a platform for students to broaden their horizons, explore new perspectives, and develop a greater appreciation for the richness and diversity of global heritage and culture.
