An innovative indoor composting robot designed for offices was unveiled in Doha by Kingdom Konsult and Compocity. This tool aims to recycle office food waste into compost for soil, promoting sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions. A memorandum of understanding was signed to introduce the device in Qatar and the region, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030 and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

KK CEO Catina Aghayan stated that the company is dedicated to offering sustainable office solutions. They plan to deploy 100 devices by the end of the year and expand regionally in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Middle East, and Greece. The collaboration with Compocity aims to deploy a total of 500 devices by 2025-26, reducing up to 4.8 million kilogrammes of CO2 emissions from air travel.

Compocity CEO Dr. Emese Pancsa highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and urban community settings. They have partnered with 13 corporations in Hungary and other European countries, deploying 20 ‘compobots’ to date. The compost produced by the bot can be used for plantation and gardening, is odorless, and can be used indoors in offices and kitchens.

The introduction of this composting robot in Qatar and the region brings advanced green technologies to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint and meet global ESG standards. KK and Compocity aim to make tangible changes in the region and beyond, transforming organic leftovers into locally usable soil value for the benefit of local communities. The tool offers a playful approach to sustainability, aligning with KK’s mission of pioneering the circular economy business model.

With a focus on sustainability and environment awareness, KK is leading the way in offering trendy office solutions that promote sustainable practices. The indoor composting robot introduced by KK and Compocity is a step towards creating a more environmentally friendly workplace and reducing CO2 emissions. By deploying these devices in offices and kitchens, businesses can contribute to reducing their carbon footprint and adhering to global ESG standards.
