The National Platform for Domestic Worker Services in the Kingdom (Musaned) has outlined the conditions for obtaining an alternative compensatory visa for domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. One of the key conditions is that the worker must be deported during the probationary period allowed by the system, which is within 90 days of their arrival in the Kingdom. Additionally, the number of visas issued must not exceed the maximum limit set by the system, and the alternative visa must be issued within two years of the worker’s departure. The worker’s status in the Absher system must be marked as final exit, and their travel status must be outside the Kingdom. It is important to note that the alternative visa is intended as compensation for a basic visa, not as a replacement for another compensatory visa.

Musaned has identified the professions eligible for the alternative compensatory visa as domestic worker, female domestic worker, and private driver. The visa can be obtained by logging into the employer’s personal account on the Musaned platform. Musaned is the official platform of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for household services and home employment programs, established in 2016 as part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance the recruitment sector in the Kingdom. The platform offers a range of services to streamline the recruitment process, as well as to address any complaints or disputes that may arise between employers and workers, while ensuring that their rights are protected. Musaned also outlines the rights and responsibilities of both the worker and the employer to maintain a fair and transparent working relationship.

Overall, the alternative compensatory visa system introduced by Musaned provides a mechanism for domestic workers in Saudi Arabia to leave the Kingdom on a final exit within 90 days of their arrival, under specific conditions. The system aims to ensure that domestic workers are treated fairly and receive compensation if they choose to leave their employment within the probationary period. By restricting the number of alternative visas issued and outlining clear guidelines for eligibility, Musaned seeks to regulate the recruitment sector and protect the rights of both workers and employers. Through its online platform, Musaned facilitates the application process for the alternative compensatory visa, making it accessible and efficient for all parties involved.

In conclusion, the National Platform for Domestic Worker Services in the Kingdom (Musaned) has established regulations for obtaining an alternative compensatory visa for domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. The conditions for eligibility include deportation during the probationary period, compliance with visa limits, and issuance within two years of departure. The system benefits domestic workers, female domestic workers, and private drivers, offering a fair compensation mechanism and protecting their rights. Musaned’s role as the official platform for household services and home employment programs reflects the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s commitment to enhancing the recruitment sector in the Kingdom. By providing a range of services to improve the recruitment journey and resolve disputes, Musaned promotes transparency and fairness in the employment process.Overall, Musaned’s alternative compensatory visa system aims to streamline the recruitment process for domestic workers in Saudi Arabia and ensure their rights are protected throughout their employment.
