Absher, the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, facilitated over 9,017,000 electronic transactions for citizens, residents, and visitors in September. The platform offers a range of services including identity verification, national identity card renewal, family member identification, and replacement for lost or damaged national identity cards. In the General Directorate of Passports, operations include issuing and renewing residencies, exit and return visas, Saudi electronic passports, passports for children under 10, and extending exit and return visas. The platform also handles services such as transferring services, canceling final exit visas, issuing final exit visas, and authorizing the reception of female visitors for work.

The public security services offered through Absher include vehicle registration renewal, vehicle repair permits, driver’s license renewals, driving authorization requests, plate replacement, vehicle sales, firearms operations, and scrapping abandoned or damaged vehicles. Additionally, the platform handles vehicle insurance validity operations, requests for document delivery by mail, issuing reports through Absher Reports service, and general inquiries about fingerprints. The Absher Business platform also offers a wide range of operations including internal and external authorizations, residence issuance and renewal, traffic violation inquiries, exit and return visas, vehicle user additions, customs card endorsement, service transfers, vehicle ownership transfers, driving license renewals, and exit and return visa extensions.

The platform also issues certificates of no criminal record, permits for vehicle repairs for facilities, visitor driving authorizations, resident report requests, final exit visa cancellations, air weapons operations, passport information updates, profession modifications, inquiries about driver’s license and vehicle information, and permits for rock cutting materials. With a focus on efficiency and accessibility, Absher strives to streamline administrative processes for individuals and businesses, making it easier to access and manage services related to passports, residency, vehicles, firearms, and more.
