Ministry of Interior completes aviation security training for female staff

The Ministry of Interior in Doha, Qatar recently concluded a basic aviation security course for female personnel, with participants from various countries. The course, held from December 22 to 26, saw the attendance of 11 female officers from the department, two female officer trainees from Kuwait, and two other female trainees from Saudi Arabia. The graduation ceremony was attended by important figures in the security sector, emphasizing the importance of specialized courses in enhancing knowledge and expertise in aviation security and passenger safety.

The Director of Women’s Police Institute at the Police Academy, Lt. Col. Kholoud Anbar Al Nuaimi, and Assistant Director of the Airport Security Department, Major Zayed Rashid Al Nuaimi, praised the cooperation and discipline of the participants during the course. Major Al Nuaimi highlighted the course’s objective of introducing the trainees to Qatar’s experience in organizing major events and securing airports during the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2022. The course aimed to familiarize participants with security procedures, international and local regulations, and the latest security devices in airports.

Major Bashayer Ghareeb Abdullah, an officer from Kuwait, expressed her gratitude to the Airport Security Department for organizing the course and providing valuable knowledge that will benefit the participants in their careers. She commended the course for its rich information and the performance of the lecturers. At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were handed out to the participating trainees, marking the successful completion of the course.

The course focused on enhancing the participants’ understanding of aviation security and passenger safety, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out their duties. The practical experience gained from the course, including a visit to the airport to observe security devices and monitoring systems, will prove valuable in their future roles within the security sector. The positive feedback from the participants reflects the success of the course in meeting its objectives and providing relevant and practical information in the field of work.

The involvement of female personnel from different countries in the course highlights the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the security sector.
