Minister Prince Badr Awards Winners of 4th Saudi National Cultural Awards

The fourth edition of the National Cultural Awards was recently held in Riyadh under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The event honored individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to the cultural sector. Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah presented awards in various categories such as literature, art, music, and culinary arts. The winners were recognized for their creativity, innovation, and efforts to preserve cultural heritage in the Kingdom.

One of the highlights of this year’s awards was the addition of two new categories – the Cultural Media Award and the Handicrafts Award. These new awards aim to open new avenues for creativity and cultural expression, showcasing the diverse talents within the Kingdom. The event was attended by senior officials, intellectuals, writers, artists, and media professionals, highlighting the importance of culture in Saudi society.

In his address at the opening ceremony, Prince Badr emphasized the role of culture in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, stating that the Ministry of Culture is committed to developing cultural capacities in partnership with various sectors. The National Cultural Awards initiative serves as a platform to recognize and support talented individuals and encourage their creativity. The event also honored individuals who have made significant contributions to preserving cultural heritage and promoting cultural excellence.

Several notable individuals and organizations were honored at the ceremony for their contributions to the cultural sector. Dr. Saad Al-Sowayan received the Cultural Pioneer Award for his achievements in the scientific, literary, and cultural fields. Writer and artist Diaa Youssef was awarded the Youth Culture Award for her support of culture and young talents. Other winners included the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, MBC Group, and King Faisal Foundation, among others, in various categories.

The Ministry of Culture is dedicated to nurturing the cultural sector and supporting creative individuals in alignment with the goals of the National Culture Strategy and Vision 2030. The National Cultural Awards initiative aims to celebrate the accomplishments of Saudis in various cultural sectors and encourage a dynamic cultural environment in the Kingdom. Through initiatives like these awards, the Ministry of Culture continues to promote cultural excellence and creativity within Saudi society.
