Meeting between the Minister of State for International Cooperation and British officials

Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, has been actively participating in the International Humanitarian Forum in London. She recently met with Andrew McCoubrey, Director of the Pakistan and Afghanistan Department at the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries and discussed the humanitarian and development situation in Afghanistan, particularly in health and education. Both sides also discussed collaborating on humanitarian and development projects in Afghanistan.

In another meeting on the sidelines of the forum, Minister Al Khater met with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, a member of the British House of Lords from the Conservative Party. They discussed recent developments in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories, as well as ways to combat Islamophobia. The meeting also covered various topics of mutual interest. The Ambassador of Qatar to the United Kingdom, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, was also present at the meeting.

The discussions between Minister Al Khater and Andrew McCoubrey highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing humanitarian and development challenges in Afghanistan. Qatar and the UK are committed to supporting initiatives that improve health and education in the region.
