King Hamad and Crown Prince Salman Inaugurate the third session of Bahrain’s sixth legislative term

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa recently addressed parliament in Bahrain, focusing on shaping the country’s national identity for a new era. The speech emphasized the importance of balancing openness and security in the face of ongoing challenges. The event, held at the Isa Cultural Centre, was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with other dignitaries.

HM King Hamad highlighted the progress Bahrain has made over the past 25 years, stressing the significance of a stable legal framework and the unity of society. He commended the government’s efforts in providing quality public services and emphasized the importance of continuing to work towards the goals outlined in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. The King also called for a forward-looking vision for 2050, ensuring that Bahrain remains a modern state rooted in Islamic values.

In order to enhance national identity while maintaining a balance between openness and security, HM the King recommended a comprehensive study to assess readiness for the future. He expressed satisfaction with initiatives aimed at improving food security and promoting modern technologies such as artificial intelligence for the benefit of all citizens. The call for shaping Bahrain’s national identity reflects the ongoing evolution of society and its role in the world.

Speaker of the Representatives Council, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, thanked His Majesty for initiating the legislative session and highlighted the importance of working together to tackle challenges through constructive dialogue. He emphasized the need for legislative support in areas such as food security and responsible management of natural resources. Al Musallam also stated that the National Assembly is prepared to engage with regional and international parliamentary bodies to promote cooperation and support national initiatives.

In conclusion, the opening of the new legislative session in Bahrain marked a significant moment in the country’s journey towards shaping its national identity for a new era. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s address highlighted the importance of balance between openness and security, as well as the need for continued development and unity within society. The government, led by HRH Prince Salman, was praised for its efforts in providing quality public services and advancing towards the goals outlined in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
