The Jeddah Mayoralty has reclaimed 18 government land sites on the waterfront in North Obhur, covering over 217,000 square meters. This is part of their ongoing efforts to protect public property, with a total of 52 sites and 3.254 million square meters already reclaimed since the start of their field campaign. The mayoralty plans to refurbish these sites and open them to the public as parks, aiming to enhance sustainable development and preserve public property in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The mayoralty, in collaboration with relevant authorities, is working to reclaim government land on waterfronts and implement regulatory procedures to remove encroachments. This is essential in order to enhance the benefits of these waterfront areas as tourist and investment destinations. By reclaiming these sites, the mayoralty is not only protecting public property but also working towards creating a more attractive and vibrant city for both residents and visitors.

The reclaimed government land sites in Jeddah hold great potential for development and enhancement, which can contribute to the overall economic growth and prosperity of the city. By opening these sites as public parks, the mayoralty is not only providing recreational spaces for the community but also creating opportunities for investment and tourism. This aligns with the goals of Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce reliance on oil.

Efforts to reclaim government land on waterfronts are crucial in ensuring that these areas are utilized effectively and sustainably. By removing encroachments and implementing regulatory procedures, the mayoralty is safeguarding public property and enhancing the overall appeal of these waterfront locations. This will not only benefit the local community but also contribute to the growth and development of Jeddah as a whole.

The mayoralty’s commitment to reclaiming government land sites along the Red Sea coast demonstrates their dedication to preserving public property and enhancing the quality of life for residents. By refurbishing these sites and opening them as public parks, the mayoralty is creating valuable green spaces for the community to enjoy. This aligns with Vision 2030’s goals of promoting environmental sustainability and creating a more livable and attractive urban environment.

In conclusion, the Jeddah Mayoralty’s efforts to reclaim government land sites on the waterfront in North Obhur are a positive step towards enhancing the city’s public spaces and promoting sustainable development.
