The 2024 renewal of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe kicked off with two Arabian races for fillies and colts at Saint Cloud, Paris on October 4. HM Al Zalmaa and Mutaz emerged as the standout winners in the Gr1 Qatar Arabian Trophy races, establishing themselves as leaders of their generation. The trophies were presented to the winners by H.E. Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, QREC Chairman.

HM Al Zalmaa, in the colors of Abdulghani Al-Abdulghani, remained unbeaten as she won the Gr.1 Qatar Arabian Trophy Des Pouliches for fillies. Trained by Xavier Thomas-Demeaulte and ridden by Guillaume Guedj-Gay, the three-year-old filly showed her dominance on the field. Mutaz, the three-year-old colt, clinched victory in the Gr.1 Qatar Arabian Trophy Des Poulains, showing his prowess as a Gr.1 winner. The talented colt, owned and bred by Yas Horse Racing Management, was trained by Xavier Thomas-Demeaulte.

Doha, a well-bred filly owned and bred by Al Shaqab Racing, won the Listed Race Prix Dahlia at Saint-Cloud. The four-year-old, trained by Ralph Beckett and ridden by Christophe Soumillon, showcased her skills on the track. The Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend will feature several races at ParisLongchamp, including three Group 1s and three Group 2s. QREC sponsors the big day of the weekend in partnership with France Galop, promoting Arabian racing and attracting thousands of racegoers.

The Gr.1 PA Qatar Arabian Trophy des Juments will feature twelve 4-year-old fillies, including top performers like Marwa and Norma Al Maury, both owned by Al Shaqab Racing. The Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe will see 16 runners, including Look de Vega and Sosie, who are among the favorites for the prestigious race.
