Dubai Police recently came to the aid of a motorist experiencing cruise control issues on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. The motorist found themselves unable to control the car and contacted emergency services for help. In response, the traffic patrol quickly arrived at the scene and secured the area around the vehicle, preventing any potential dangers to other motorists. Maj-Gen Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei praised the prompt actions of the patrols in ensuring the safety of all involved.

When faced with a malfunctioning cruise control, it is important for motorists to remain calm and not panic. Al Mazrouei advised drivers to fasten their seatbelts, turn on hazard lights, and contact the emergency number (999) for assistance. If the cruise control issue persists, shifting the gear to neutral, turning off the engine, and restarting it may help resolve the problem. In cases where the vehicle does not stop, applying firm pressure on the brakes is recommended until the car comes to a complete halt.

If all else fails, releasing the handbrake gradually while maintaining control of the steering wheel is important. In the event that none of the above methods work, alternating between neutral and drive modes while trying to regain control is suggested. The ultimate goal is to safely remove the vehicle from the road until assistance from the traffic patrol arrives. These steps can help prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all individuals involved.

It is crucial for motorists to remember the importance of following safety protocols in the event of a cruise control malfunction. In such situations, contacting emergency services immediately is essential to prevent any potential hazards. The actions taken by the Dubai Police in responding promptly to the motorist’s distress call on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road demonstrate their commitment to ensuring public safety and security.

By staying informed and knowledgeable about what to do in case of a cruise control malfunction, drivers can effectively handle such emergencies and prevent accidents. The guidance provided by Al Mazrouei on how to address a faulty cruise control system serves as a valuable resource for motorists facing similar situations. It is important for all drivers to remain vigilant and prepared for unexpected challenges on the road.

The proactive measures taken by the Dubai Police to address the cruise control issue highlight their dedication to serving and protecting the community. By being prepared and equipped to handle various emergencies, the police force plays a crucial role in maintaining order and safety on the roads. Through their swift response and effective measures, the Dubai Police continue to uphold their reputation as a reliable and trustworthy law enforcement agency.
