Doha Academy is a group of nationally and internationally accredited independent schools located in Doha, Qatar. The three schools offer a British-based education from KG to Year 12, including the Early Years curriculum and the National Curriculum for England. They also deliver the Qatar National Curriculum in Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History. The schools, Doha Academy Al Waab, Doha Academy Salwa, and Doha International Kindergarten, welcome students aged between 3 and 18 years and prepare them for various examinations.

Founded by Dr. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani in 2000, Doha Academy aims to provide outstanding education based on Islamic values. With around 2,000 students from 55 nationalities, the group focuses on literacy and numeracy development while also nurturing the ‘whole child’. The curriculum remains broad throughout students’ career, with specialization starting from Year 10. The academy offers differentiated pathways to graduation in Year 12, allowing students to sit early entry exams and spread subjects across Years 11 and 12.

As part of Al Faleh Educational Holding, Doha Academy aims to develop socially responsible citizens with a strong sense of Qatar national identity. The group includes AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, providing education up to Master’s degree level. Doha Academy Al Waab and Doha Academy Salwa have gained international accreditation from NEASC and QNSA, with a focus on Learning & Teaching, Leadership & Governance, Human Resources, Finance & Facilities, and Health & Safety. DIKg has also passed NEASC inspection and has been granted eligibility for full accreditation.

In 2023, Doha Academy celebrated eight students who achieved the highest marks in the world in their IGCSE and A Level examinations with UK examination board Pearson / Edexcel. The academy’s vision is to be a global leader in providing accessible and inclusive education based on Islamic principles, while their mission is to offer boys and girls an education for life. The blended curriculum at Doha Academy focuses on developing personal learning and thinking skills to prepare students for the rapidly changing world.

Overall, Doha Academy strives to provide a high-quality education that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century. With a focus on holistic development and academic excellence, the academy nurtures students to become responsible global citizens with a strong sense of identity and values. Through a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum, Doha Academy equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving society.
