The Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia has announced that commercial establishments and e-stores in the country will be allowed to offer a special 2-week discount for consumers in celebration of the 94th National Day. From September 16 to September 30, 2024, businesses can apply for seasonal discount licenses via an electronic application on sales.mc.gov.sa. This initiative aims to make it easier for commercial establishments and e-stores to obtain and display discount licenses, ensuring a smooth process for both businesses and consumers. These discount days will not be included in the total annual number of days allocated for discount sales, providing a unique opportunity for consumers to take advantage of special offers.

Consumers will be able to verify the legitimacy and validity of the discounts by scanning the barcode on the discount license with a mobile camera. This will provide them with all the necessary information related to the discounts, including the type and percentage of discounts, as well as the duration of the offer and details of the establishment offering the discount. The Ministry of Commerce has emphasized that its officials will be conducting inspection tours of commercial establishments and e-stores across the Kingdom to ensure that discounts are being offered in compliance with regulations. This monitoring process is essential to safeguard consumer interests and maintain transparency in discount sales during this special period.

The announcement of the 2-week discount period coinciding with the National Day celebrations reflects the government’s commitment to supporting businesses and stimulating consumer spending. By allowing commercial establishments and e-stores to offer special discounts, the Ministry of Commerce aims to boost the economy and enhance the shopping experience for consumers. The electronic application process for discount licenses is designed to streamline the process for businesses, making it easier for them to participate in this promotional initiative. Consumers can look forward to exciting offers and deals during this limited time period, making it an ideal opportunity to shop for their favorite products at discounted prices.

Businesses participating in the special discount period are encouraged to promote their offers and attract customers through various marketing channels. Social media platforms, email newsletters, and other digital marketing tools can be utilized to reach a wider audience and generate buzz around the discount sales. By effectively communicating their offers and engaging with customers, businesses can maximize the impact of the 2-week discount period and drive sales. The Ministry of Commerce’s emphasis on monitoring compliance with regulations ensures that consumers can trust the validity of the discounts and make informed purchasing decisions during this special promotional period.

As the National Day approaches, consumers can look forward to a variety of exciting discounts and offers from their favorite commercial establishments and e-stores. Whether shopping for clothing, electronics, household items, or other products, this special discount period presents a unique opportunity to save money and enjoy great deals. By scanning the barcode on the discount license with their mobile cameras, consumers can easily verify the details of the discounts and make informed choices when making purchases. The Ministry of Commerce’s commitment to monitoring compliance with regulations ensures that consumers can shop with confidence and trust the transparency of the discount sales during this celebratory period.
