Eng. Jassim Al Khouri, the CEO of Media City Qatar, recently visited Alaraby Television Network as a part of the strategic plan to develop the media landscape in Qatar and the region. The purpose of the visit was to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the two entities. During his visit, Al Khouri had the chance to tour the facilities of Alaraby Television Network, including state-of-the-art studios equipped to meet the growing needs of the news channel Alaraby Television and the general entertainment channel Alaraby 2.

He was introduced to the advanced technology used in the development of these facilities, which include the broadcasting of live news, special coverage, program production, and creating digital content. Al Khouri also had the opportunity to see the latest studio dedicated to filming using augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. Additionally, he made a special appearance on an episode of the show “SayidatiSadati” hosted by Aref Hijjawi, where he discussed Media City Qatar’s strategy aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to diversify income sources and enhance economic growth prospects.

Al Khouri emphasized that Media City Qatar offers advanced infrastructure and transparent legal frameworks, creating an inclusive environment for investors, companies, and media outlets to operate in one of the most comprehensive media free zones worldwide. He also highlighted the success of Alaraby Television Network’s experience, stating that its relocation from London to Lusail makes it a national champion in the media sector and serves as an incentive for other media institutions to move to Qatar.

Overall, Al Khouri’s visit to Alaraby Television Network was a successful opportunity to explore collaboration opportunities and witness the advanced technology and facilities that the network offers. The visit also provided a platform for Al Khouri to discuss Media City Qatar’s strategy and alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, while highlighting the success of Alaraby Television Network’s relocation. This collaboration and exchange of ideas mark a significant step towards the development of the media landscape in Qatar and the region, positioning both entities as key players in the evolving media industry.
