The Cabinet’s regular meeting in Doha, Qatar, was chaired by HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah at the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi provided an update on the discussions. The Cabinet commended the National Health Strategy 2024-2030 ‘Health for All’ and the National Cyber Security Strategy 2024-2030, both inaugurated by HE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. These strategies aim to improve health and cybersecurity in Qatar, contributing to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Additionally, the Cabinet reviewed a proposal by HE Minister of Justice regarding the presentation of draft legislative tools on the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau’s ‘Sharek’ platform. This proposal is part of the 3rd National Development Strategy 2024-2030 and aims to gather input from civil society institutions, experts, and specialists to enhance legislation and policies. A specialized team in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers will handle the evaluation and implementation of the proposals, aligning them with strategic targets and ensuring their quality and integration.

Furthermore, the Cabinet approved several topics on its agenda, including a draft law regulating meteorological activities and services, a draft decree on the unified custom tariff, and a draft decision on electronic real estate registration controls. The Cabinet also decided to ratify an agreement with the Republic of Slovenia on visa exemptions and approved joining the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities. Additionally, the Cabinet approved several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for cooperation and news exchange with Iraq, Iran, Turkmenistan, and Spain.

The Cabinet also reviewed various reports and took appropriate measures concerning the development and inauguration of the digital platform ‘Sharek’ by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, as well as the outcomes of delegations participating in forums and visits abroad. These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing governance, legislation, and international cooperation, in alignment with Qatar’s development goals and vision for the future.

In conclusion, the Cabinet’s meeting in Doha highlighted the government’s focus on promoting health, cybersecurity, legislative development, and international cooperation. The approval of strategies and laws, along with the ratification of agreements and MoUs, demonstrates Qatar’s commitment to enhancing various sectors and strengthening its partnerships on the global stage. By continuously reviewing and taking measures on important topics, the Cabinet aims to contribute to the realization of Qatar National Vision 2030 and drive sustainable development in the country.
