In Hafar Al-Batin, a young student was recently saved from a potentially dangerous situation after being left behind on a school bus by the driver. A video of the child screaming for help from passersby to be let out of the bus went viral on social media, raising concerns about the safety of students using school transportation services. The incident occurred when the driver locked the bus with the child still on board in an empty area, leading to fears of suffocation or harm for the student left behind.

The school bus involved in the incident belongs to the Rafed Transportation Services Company. Fortunately, the student was found in good health and rescued within an hour after the bus stopped in a parking area following the morning drop-off of students. The company released a statement confirming the incident and emphasizing its commitment to the safety of all students. The student’s guardian was also present when the child was rescued and taken to school without any further issues.

Many people took to social media to express their outrage over the negligence displayed by the bus driver and the transport company. The incident raised questions about the safety protocols in place for school transportation services and called for stricter action to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future. As a response, the company vowed to take all necessary legal measures to ensure the safety of male and female students using their services, reinforcing their commitment to upholding security and safety procedures inside school buses.

Rafed Transportation Services Company had previously released an awareness video clip urging drivers to thoroughly inspect the bus before leaving and to ensure that all seats are empty of students. The company stressed that drivers would be held responsible if any student were left behind on the bus. The Ministry of Education also reminded transportation companies to provide safety elements, including an appropriate transportation supervisor on board, to ensure the well-being of students throughout their journey from home to school.

The lack of adherence to safety directives by the transportation company in this incident has raised concerns among parents about the potential for similar incidents to occur in the future. The bus was parked in an isolated area far from passersby, highlighting the need for stricter monitoring and supervision to prevent such incidents from happening again. The Ministry of Education continues to stress the importance of ensuring the safety of students using school transportation services and calls for all parties involved to take necessary precautions to prevent any harm or danger to students.
