The Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai has established a help desk for Bangladeshi nationals seeking amnesty at Al Awir. This initiative was announced in a statement issued by the consulate, where Consul General BM Jamal Hossain met with Lt Gen Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri, director general of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA), and visited various amnesty services at the Al Awir immigration center. Hossain expressed his gratitude to Al Marri for the facilities and services provided to amnesty seekers by the Dubai immigration department. The consulate officials, including Bangladesh’s counsellor for labor affairs Md. Abdus Salam, counselor for passport and visa Mohammad Kazi Faisal, head of embassy Ashfaq Hossain, and first secretary for press Arifur Rahman, also visited the GDRFA office in Al Awir.

Al Marri encouraged Bangladeshi expatriates to take advantage of the amnesty opportunity as soon as possible and advised them to bring all necessary documents with them when applying for amnesty. The assistance provided by the Bangladesh consulate includes a ‘Bangladesh Help Desk’ set up by the Consulate General to provide advice and guidance to amnesty seekers. Additionally, the consulate officials met with members of 18 organizations that offer direct employment at the Awir Centre and discussed job opportunities for Bangladeshi job seekers with company representatives. The main goal of these initiatives is to support Bangladeshi nationals in Dubai who are seeking amnesty and help them navigate the process effectively.

The establishment of the help desk by the Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai reflects the commitment of the consulate to provide assistance and support to Bangladeshi nationals in need of guidance during the amnesty process. This initiative aims to streamline the application process for amnesty seekers and ensure that they have access to the necessary information and resources to regularize their status in Dubai. By setting up a dedicated help desk, the consulate is making it easier for Bangladeshi expatriates to seek guidance and support as they navigate the complexities of the amnesty process.

The support and services provided by the Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai are crucial for Bangladeshi nationals who may be facing challenges in obtaining amnesty in Dubai. By establishing a help desk and engaging with key stakeholders, including the GDRFA and organizations providing employment opportunities, the consulate is playing a proactive role in assisting Bangladeshi expatriates during this critical period. The assistance provided by the consulate officials, including guidance on required documentation and job opportunities, is invaluable for Bangladeshi nationals seeking amnesty and looking to improve their status in Dubai.

In conclusion, the Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai has taken proactive steps to support Bangladeshi nationals seeking amnesty in Dubai. By setting up a dedicated help desk, engaging with key stakeholders, and providing guidance and assistance to amnesty seekers, the consulate is playing a vital role in facilitating the regularization of Bangladeshi expatriates’ status in Dubai. This initiative demonstrates the consulate’s commitment to helping Bangladeshi nationals navigate the amnesty process and improve their prospects for the future in Dubai. Bangladeshi expatriates in Dubai can benefit from the support and services offered by the consulate to ensure a smooth and successful application for amnesty.
