The Chairman of the Strategic Studies Academy hosts Jordanian delegation

The Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies in Muscat, Maj.Gen. Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, recently met with a delegation from the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College. The two sides discussed various academic aspects during the meeting. The delegation, headed by Brig. Tariq Khalaf Al Hajaya, also visited the National Defence College and the Joint Command and Staff College at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties and promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and security.

During the meeting, the Chairman and the delegation from the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly in the academic realm. They were joined by senior officers from the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies and the Military Attaché of Jordan’s Embassy in Muscat. The visit aimed to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two institutions. The delegation also had the opportunity to learn about Oman’s strategic curriculum and the preparation of national competencies capable of making strategic decisions.

At the National Defence College, the Jordanian delegation was greeted by Brigadier Mansoor Ali Al Amri, the Acting Commandant. The delegation members were given a tour of the college’s facilities and strategic curriculum. The focus of the college is on preparing individuals who can make strategic decisions at various levels. The visit to the National Defence College allowed the delegation to gain insights into Oman’s approach to defense and security education and training.

The Jordanian delegation also visited the Joint Command and Staff College at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies. The Acting Commandant of the CSC welcomed the guests and provided them with information about the college’s general curriculum and facilities. The delegation had the opportunity to tour the CSC and learn about the programs offered. The visit to the Joint Command and Staff College was aimed at promoting exchanges of knowledge and expertise between Oman and Jordan in the field of defense and security.

Overall, the visit by the delegation from the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College to the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies in Muscat was successful in fostering collaboration and promoting mutual understanding. The meeting and visits to various colleges provided an opportunity for the two countries to strengthen ties and enhance cooperation in the field of defense and security. Such exchanges are essential for building relationships and increasing knowledge sharing between institutions in different countries. The discussions and interactions during the visit laid the foundation for future collaborations and partnerships in the field of defense and security.
