Shakhura Park, located in Block 481 of the Shakhura area, is undergoing renovations and is expected to reopen to the public within 30 days. The Northern Municipal Council representative for the fifth constituency in the Northern Governorate, Tariq Al Farsani, has confirmed that the renovation work is progressing rapidly to meet this deadline. The upgrades to the park will benefit all residents of the fifth constituency and include a complete repainting of the park, replacement of restrooms, and a full refurbishment of the existing sports facilities, such as the football, basketball, and volleyball courts.

In addition to these upgrades, the park will also see the installation of shade structures over the children’s playgrounds to protect them from the sun and allow them to play during the morning hours. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to provide play spaces for all children in the district, promoting a culture of physical activity and participation in various sports. Furthermore, the park’s lighting will be powered by solar energy, showcasing Bahrain’s commitment to renewable energy. Mr. Al Farsani emphasized the importance of this approach in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to adopt renewable energy and achieve carbon neutrality.

Mr. Al Farsani expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Municipalities Affairs, Engineer Wael Mubarak; the Undersecretary of Municipalities Affairs, Engineer Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa; and the Director General of the Northern Municipality, Engineer Lamia Al Fadala, for their support and assistance in completing the renovation of Shakhura Park. The park serves as a vital community project that is essential for providing recreational and sports facilities for residents in the area. The improvements made to the park will enhance the overall experience for visitors and promote a healthier and more active lifestyle for the community.

In conclusion, the renovation of Shakhura Park is an important project that will benefit residents of the fifth constituency in the Northern Governorate. The upgrades to the park, including the repainting, replacement of restrooms, and refurbishment of sports facilities, will provide a much-improved recreational and sports space for the community. The installation of shade structures over the children’s playgrounds and the use of solar energy for lighting further demonstrate Bahrain’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. The completion of this project would not have been possible without the support and assistance of key government officials, highlighting the collaborative efforts to enhance community spaces and promote physical activity among residents. Shakhura Park is set to reopen soon, offering residents a revitalized outdoor space to enjoy and engage in healthy activities.
