Five Bahraini adventurers who were held in Yemen for nearly two months have finally returned home. They are currently going through the necessary security procedures in Bahrain before being fully reunited with their families. MP Zainab Abdulameer confirmed their safe return and expressed gratitude towards the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Bahraini Embassy in Riyadh for their efforts in bringing the men back home. She had been in close contact with the authorities and the embassy during this time.

The travellers had set off from Bahrain to Oman and then crossed the Oman-Yemen border with the intention of passing through Yemen on their way to Abha in Saudi Arabia. However, they were stopped at a security checkpoint in Marib, controlled by Yemen’s lawful government. MP Jalal Kadhem praised the hard work of the ministries involved in bringing the men back safely and keeping their families informed and reassured throughout the ordeal.

The families of the returned travellers expressed their gratitude towards MP Zainab Abdulameer and the Bahraini authorities for their tireless efforts in ensuring the safe return of their loved ones. Umm Fadel, the mother of one of the men, shared her relief and appreciation for MP Abdulameer’s continuous communication with the families and the authorities, which provided them with hope during a difficult time. They are now eagerly awaiting the full return of their sons once the final security steps are completed.

MP Kadhem also commended the Bahraini government for its diplomatic efforts in resolving the situation and ensuring the safe return of the adventurers. He highlighted the importance of ongoing talks between Bahrain and Yemen’s legitimate government in bringing about a positive outcome for the men. The safe return of the adventurers is seen as a testament to the effective diplomatic work between the two countries.

Once the adventurers complete the necessary security procedures in Bahrain, they will be reunited with their families. What started as a fun road trip turned into a challenging experience when they were unexpectedly held in Yemen. The support and coordination between Bahraini authorities and the Yemeni government played a crucial role in resolving the situation and bringing the men back home safely.
