The Tender Board in Muscat has recently awarded several tenders and additional works totaling OMR216,377,944 to enhance various development projects in the country. The decision was made during the 4th meeting of the year 2024, which was chaired by Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board. Among the works awarded were the dualization of Izki-Nizwa road connecting South Qarut, Birkat Al Mauz, and Farq with a value of OMR 46,874,983, as well as the dualization of the road between Raysut and Al Mughsail in Dhofar Governorate with a value of OMR 34,844,452.

These projects are part of the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and connectivity across the Sultanate of Oman. The dualization of the Izki-Nizwa road will provide a more efficient transportation route between key areas, while the road between Raysut and Al Mughsail will enhance accessibility in the Dhofar Governorate. The additional works awarded by the Tender Board will further contribute to the overall development of Oman and improve the quality of life for its residents.

The Tender Board’s decision to award these tenders and works highlights the government’s commitment to investing in infrastructure development and economic growth. By prioritizing these projects, Oman aims to create sustainable development opportunities, stimulate economic activity, and enhance the overall quality of infrastructure in the country. These initiatives are crucial for supporting Oman’s long-term development objectives and fostering a conducive environment for both businesses and residents.

In addition to the awarded projects, the Tender Board also discussed other development initiatives aimed at enhancing various sectors in Oman. These discussions reflect the government’s comprehensive approach to promoting growth and diversification across different industries. By prioritizing a range of projects, Oman aims to create a more resilient economy and foster sustainable development in line with its national vision and goals.

The successful tender awards and additional works approved by the Tender Board will contribute significantly to the advancement of key infrastructure projects in Oman. Through these initiatives, the government is not only investing in physical infrastructure but also laying the groundwork for future growth and development. By prioritizing these projects, Oman is setting the stage for continued progress and prosperity, positioning itself as a dynamic and competitive economy in the region.

Overall, the recent Tender Board meeting in Muscat marks a significant milestone in Oman’s development journey, signaling the government’s proactive approach to infrastructure investment and economic growth. By awarding tenders and additional works worth OMR216,377,944, Oman is taking decisive steps towards enhancing connectivity, promoting sustainable development, and creating a conducive environment for both businesses and residents.
