Saudi Arabia and Oman are looking to strengthen their trade and economic relationship, as discussed during a recent meeting between the two countries. The trade volume between Saudi Arabia and Oman has reached SR 36.8 billion, with Saudi exports to Oman amounting to SR 22.5 billion. The discussions were led by Omani Minister of Economy Dr. Said Al-Saqri and Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, who emphasized the economic reforms being implemented in the Kingdom under the guidance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. These reforms align with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to implement structural reforms and enhance sustainable economic growth.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are working together to increase their intra-regional and external trade, with a focus on various economic topics. Dr. Al-Qasabi highlighted the importance of the ongoing economic reforms in Saudi Arabia, which have enhanced the business environment, increased global competitiveness, and achieved positive performance for the Saudi economy in reputable global reports and indicators. These reforms are part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil revenue.

The efforts to enhance the business environment in Saudi Arabia include initiatives and programs aimed at developing and improving competitiveness. The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) works with relevant government entities to propose and develop policies and procedures that enhance competitiveness. These efforts have led to increased global recognition for the Kingdom and have positioned Saudi Arabia as an attractive destination for foreign investment.

The meeting between Saudi Arabia and Oman also focused on the significant development potential and opportunities available in the Kingdom. Both countries are looking to capitalize on these opportunities to further strengthen their economic partnership and boost trade relations. The discussions underscore the importance of regional cooperation and collaboration in driving economic growth and development in the Gulf region.

The economic reforms in Saudi Arabia have attracted interest from investors and foreign businesses looking to capitalize on the Kingdom’s growing economy. The implementation of Saudi Vision 2030 has created new opportunities for businesses in various sectors, contributing to the Kingdom’s economic diversification and sustainable growth. The ongoing efforts to enhance the business environment in Saudi Arabia will further support these initiatives and attract more foreign investment.

Overall, the discussions between Saudi Arabia and Oman highlight the shared commitment to enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The economic reforms in Saudi Arabia, under the guidance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have set a strong foundation for sustainable economic growth and increased global competitiveness. By working together, Saudi Arabia and Oman can further strengthen their economic partnership and explore new opportunities for collaboration in various sectors, driving economic growth and development in the region.
