Abbas also highlighted the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. He pointed out that the brutal Israeli war has resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. The Israeli aggression has also destroyed a significant portion of the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, including sports facilities. Abbas called on the international community to intervene and put an end to the violence and aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
The Palestinian President emphasized that peace and tolerance cannot coexist with occupation, aggression, racial discrimination, and injustice. He urged for the international community to take immediate action to stop the brutal aggression against Palestine and Lebanon. Abbas stated that holding the ACD summit under the theme of “Sports Diplomacy” provides an opportunity to enhance dialogue alongside official diplomacy, promoting fair competition and human relations based on governing laws, regardless of identity, religion, race, or language.
