Top tennis players to lead season 3 of World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi – News

The World Tennis League has recently announced its star-studded line-up for the upcoming third season, which is set to be held at the iconic Etihad Arena from December 19 to 22. The impressive roster includes two Olympic gold medallists, five Grand Slam champions, and several top-ranked male and female players. The event is being organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), and Miral, promising to deliver ‘The Greatest Show on Court’.

Among the players making their debut in the World Tennis League 2024 are Barbora Krejčíková, the 2024 Wimbledon champion and current Women’s World No. 10, as well as Women’s Doubles Paris 2024 Gold Medalist Jasmine Paolini, ranked at Women’s World No. 5. Additionally, 14 other tennis superstars are slated to return for this season’s competition, ensuring a bigger and more thrilling event for tennis fans around the world.

Notable female players like Aryna Sabalenka, the Women’s World No. 2 fresh off her US Open victory, and Iga Świątek, the World No. 1 with a Bronze Medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics and three consecutive French Open titles under her belt, will be making their appearances at the World Tennis League. Other top-ranked female players joining the lineup include Mirra Andreeva, Elena Rybakina, Paula Badosa, and Caroline Garcia.

On the men’s side, stars like Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, who were part of the title-winning team PBG Eagles in WTL 2023, will be competing once again at the tournament. Joining them are notable players such as Taylor Fritz, Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Sumit Nagal, and Nick Kyrgios, all set to showcase their talent at one of the premier sporting events in Abu Dhabi.

The previous edition of the World Tennis League attracted over 20,000 attendees and was broadcasted live in more than 125 countries. The event also featured performances by world-class artists at Yas Island, enhancing the overall experience for spectators. Concert ticket holders can now avail of discounted Tennis tickets for the day’s matches and enjoy the full spectrum of sporting and entertainment offerings during the event.
