The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Doha, Qatar announced the opening of online registration for the annual Winter Camping Season for 2024-2025. The camping season is set to begin on November 5, 2024, and will run until April 30, 2025. The Ministry held a press conference to announce the updated requirements and obligations for the new camping season, which was attended by various officials including Mohammed Ahmed Al Dhahi, Director of the Public Relations and Communications Department at MoECC. The Winter Camping Affairs Organization Committee at MoECC, chaired by Hamad Salem Al Nuaimi, also discussed the upcoming season.

During the press conference, Mohammed Ahmed Al Dhahi highlighted the changes for the upcoming season, including the reduction of fees for permitting winter camps from QR 10,000 to QR 3,000 for all areas, whether land or sea. This decision aims to enhance welfare and ensure that society can enjoy these camping spots during the season. Al Dhahi also mentioned that the security deposit of QR 10,000 will be refunded after the camp is removed and the site is returned to its original condition. The registration process for this year will be available through the MoECC’s electronic application “Beeah” and the Ministry’s official website, making it easier for users to complete the registration procedures.

Winter camping is seen as an integral part of Qatari heritage, reflecting the people’s connection to nature. The Ministry views camping not only as a way to enjoy the outdoors but also as an opportunity to promote environmental awareness and preservation for future generations. The camping season provides a chance for individuals to experience nature and showcase their appreciation for the environment. By reducing fees and simplifying the registration process, the Ministry hopes to encourage more people to participate in winter camping and foster a greater sense of environmental stewardship among the community.

The announcement of the Winter Camping Season for 2024-2025 in Qatar comes with updated requirements and obligations for campers. The registration process, which opens from October 15 to November 5, will allow individuals to secure their spots for winter camping in all regions of the country. With the season set to begin on November 5, campers are encouraged to adhere to the regulations set by the Ministry in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. By providing easier access to registration through the MoECC’s electronic application and official website, the Ministry aims to streamline the process for campers and enhance overall satisfaction during the camping season.

The reduced fees for permitting winter camps, along with exemptions for people with disabilities and retirees, aim to make winter camping more accessible and inclusive for all members of society. The Ministry’s focus on enhancing welfare and providing opportunities for the community to enjoy nature underscores its commitment to environmental preservation and sustainability. By emphasizing the importance of winter camping as a cultural tradition and a means of connecting with nature, the Ministry seeks to instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment among campers and future generations. Winter camping not only allows individuals to appreciate Qatar’s natural beauty but also serves as a platform for raising awareness about environmental conservation and protection.

In conclusion, the upcoming Winter Camping Season in Qatar presents an opportunity for individuals to connect with nature, enjoy the outdoors, and promote environmental awareness. With the registration process opening soon, campers are encouraged to take advantage of the reduced fees and streamlined procedures to secure their spots for the upcoming season. By participating in winter camping, individuals can not only experience Qatar’s rich natural heritage but also play a role in preserving it for future generations.
