The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, recently emphasized the negative impact of ongoing aggression and violations in the region on international trade and political tensions. Speaking at the Third Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Doha, Prince Faisal highlighted the importance of resolving regional conflicts peacefully to ensure prosperity in the region. He expressed gratitude to the ACD member countries for their support for the two-state solution and their recognition of the State of Palestine. Prince Faisal also thanked Qatar for hosting the summit and emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting dialogue and cooperation among Asian countries in various fields.

During his address, Prince Faisal stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts in resolving regional conflicts to ensure economic cooperation and investments between countries in the region and around the world. He noted that ongoing political tensions and security situations in the region, such as the events in Palestine and Lebanon, are significant obstacles to economic development and trade progress. Prince Faisal highlighted the Kingdom’s belief in the power of sports diplomacy as a means of facilitating constructive dialogue and supporting peace and stability, and Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen this sector through hosting major sports events.

The Prince also expressed appreciation for the support of ACD member countries for the two-state solution and their recognition of the State of Palestine. He urged the rest of the world to follow suit and highlighted the Kingdom’s contribution to the establishment of an international coalition to implement the two-state solution. In addition to promoting dialogue and cooperation in economic, political, and cultural fields, Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of addressing development challenges in the region within the context of the current political and security situations.

Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the ACD Summit in Doha included various key figures, including Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Prince Mansour bin Khalid, Director General of the Office of the Foreign Minister Abdulrahman Aldawood, and Director of the Department of Federations, Groups, and Specialized Organizations Fares Al-Otaibi. The Kingdom’s participation in the summit reflects its commitment to promoting dialogue and cooperation among Asian countries and addressing regional challenges through diplomatic means. Prince Faisal’s address underscored the significance of resolving conflicts peacefully to ensure regional prosperity and stability, while also highlighting the growing role of sports diplomacy in diplomatic efforts.
